南瓜是日本殿堂级艺术家草间弥生情有独钟的创作主题。它们在草间少女时期的画作中诞生，往后几十年，这个令人安心的形象不断在她的画作、雕塑和诗歌里反复出现。草间透过这些作品，诠释南瓜的灵性如何带出诗意的平静、成为人类心灵的归宿。
